MOSCOW, Apr 11 (PRIME) -- Russia and Belarus cannot agree on some economic and commercial issues, but continue negotiations, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.
“There are some issues which cannot be agreed on a bilateral basis. These are commercial issues linked to the economy. (Russia and Belarus) continue bilateral work to reach the agreement,” he said.
On Wednesday, Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Oversight banned imports of apples and pears from Belarus from Friday.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that Russia is “twisting the arms” and likened the restriction to sanctions.
